Leading lighting manufacturer, JCC Lighting, is pleased to announce the successful purchase of the company from its founders, Denis and Jackie Callander, having entered into an agreement on 4th of February 2008 for an undisclosed sum.
The management buyout (MBO) was completed by the incumbent management team led by managing director Dave Dawkins, and includes Jon Callander, operations director, Steve Kirby, sales & marketing director, Angus McLean, finance director and Richard Kemp, technical director. LDC, the leading mid-market private equity provider, financed the deal that includes both JCC UK and JCC China, for an undisclosed sum.
During 2007, the experienced management team restructured the company into its current organisation, with Denis and Jackie concentrating on other business interests. Despite these changes, it remains business as usual at JCC. As a company JCC continues to concentrate on offering good service, fast delivery from a vast Ł6m stock holding of over 2000 product lines with the latest technology and innovations, while maintaining their ethos of keeping it simple for the customer.
“The lighting industry is challenging with great potential for growth. JCC is already at the forefront of this market, and well placed to continue to grow organically and through acquisition over the next five years and beyond. We have high sales growth expectations”, said Dave Dawkins.
He continued, “Over the past 18 months we’ve put together a strong management team and organisation structure and I’m confident that everything is in place. For all of our customers and staff it is, and will continue to be, business as usual.”
