Leading lighting manufacturer, JCC Lighting, is pleased to announce the appointment of Russ Cama as operations director. This key appointment comes at a time when JCC is working towards expanding its global logistics, with strategic plans for opening additional sales and marketing operations in other worldwide geographical locations during 2008/09.
This varied role will be wide reaching with key responsibilities including the roll out of JCC’s strategy for global operations and overseeing JCC’s three distribution centres across the UK. Russ will also control the management of the company’s Ł6m stock holding.
Commenting on his appointment, Russ Cama said, “JCC has a strong reputation as a leading lighting manufacturer, and has a clear strategic direction for the next five years and beyond. I’m looking forward to building on the excellent logistics work already in place in the UK and internationally and to the challenges that lie ahead. This is an exciting time for the company with new opportunities and lots of scope for growth.
Previously, Russ held the position of director of product marketing for Hagemeyer (UK), where he was responsible for supply chain efficiency and training on international procurement. Furthermore, Russ was responsible for inventory and supply, heading up Hagemeyer’s National Distribution Centre (NDC).
In addition, Russ recently served on the Board of Management of the Electrical Distributors Association, and was appointed President for 2005/06, placing him in an excellent position to assist with JCC’s growth plans. He is also a senior member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
Dave Dawkins, managing director said, “JCC is a global leader in a fast growing marketplace and has strong opportunities to expand rapidly, particularly with the move into the Australasia market. Russ’s appointment to the board demonstrates JCC’s ambitions as a leading global lighting brand and his background and level of experience will be invaluable to JCC at a time of international expansion.”
