New technical director for JCC Lighting strengthens product development and design
In order to continue to stay at the forefront of design and product innovation, leading lighting manufacturer JCC Lighting is proud to appoint Richard Kemp to the position of technical director.
Richard joins the senior management operating team following 11 years employment within the company. He will focus on building a dynamic team to oversee product development, design, production, quality control, after sales and brand management. The appointment comes as part of a series of organisational changes within JCC in order to better manage the company’s development in line with the global strategy.
Commenting on his new appointment, Richard said, “I’m delighted to take up this new position within JCC. I’ve seen the company grow and develop over the years, so it’s a great opportunity to join the management team in this role at this point. The lighting industry is in constant development with new technologies, and I’m looking forward to a challenging future where we can push forward new innovations.”

Richard started as an apprentice draughtsman within a technical drawing office in the world of electronics. He progressed into the retail design and build industry for 10 years, as a technical development engineer. Following a short but comprehensive stint within management at a small lighting company, Richard then embarked on his career at JCC, of which he has enjoyed every minute! His role has included regular overseas travel to the factories that he’s responsible for – one of his skills is to carry out Section 7 Code of Practice audits for overseas manufacture.
