Low energy and dimmable – you can have it all when it comes to Fireguard downlights from JCC
Helping the environment by using less energy, and meeting the new edition of the Building Regulations, Document L, are just a couple of the benefits you get from using the market leading range of fire rated downlights, Fireguard, from JCC Lighting.
Document L requires developers to minimise carbon dioxide emissions caused by the use of excess energy and heat losses. JCC have developed a new 11W compact fluorescent downlight. This new fire-rated low energy downlight fulfils the requirement for a low energy luminiare in the same small fitting as a standard Fireguard halogen.
We have gone one step further and introduced a new dimmable version too. Compatible with most rotary dimmers, this fire rated downlight features all the benefits of using a Fireguard downlight – fully tested to 30, 60 and 90 minute timber ceilings, 30 and 60 minute I-joists, and meets all the relevant building regulations.
Fireguard low energy downlights use the latest in CFL lamp technology. The new 11W lamp from Megaman is approximately 50mm in diameter, similar to the more familiar halogen versions. The output from the miniature fluorescent tube is enhanced by an image reflector and the light output softened by a diffusing front lens. The 11W luminaire will only accept the Megaman low energy lamp as required by Part L.
The Fireguard range features products that are very easy to install and are available in a variety of finishes to give the installer the widest choice of solutions where fire rated fittings are required. For more information on low energy Fireguard click here.
